One of his most ambitious projects was the master plan for a development on Exuma Island. Although the project didn’t materialize due to funding issues, Ramirez describes it as an opportunity to explore “very interesting features such as large bodies of water, different heights, and its own marina.”

His approach is surprisingly simple: “I imagine myself as the end user and try to perceive what I would need, as well as what the expectations would be,” he explains. Despite the differences between terrestrial and maritime design, Ramirez identifies a common trend influencing both fields: technology. “I’ve always been passionate about technology,” he says, “and without a doubt, today it has to play a basic role in any project.” This passion for innovation is reflected in his designs, which incorporate the latest advances to enhance the user experience.

Looking to the future, Ramirez has his sights set on new challenges. “Apartment towers are becoming very interesting,” he says, pointing to the complexity of designing spaces that must accommodate different uses and moods.
