Q. Can you tell our readers a little about your professional journey & how did you come to your current role/position?
I embarked on my professional journey with limited resources, but through hard work and determination, I was able to overcome obstacles and achieve my goals. I initially studied engineering but ended up working in an IT company for five years. Although the job was not related to my field of study, I took advantage of this opportunity to learn about e-commerce and digital marketing. Over time, I became passionate about these areas and realized that it was what I truly wanted to pursue.
Throughout my five-year journey, I gained valuable experience in branding, advertising, and customer behaviour in the digital marketplace. I was driven by a desire to achieve something greater and always had the dream of starting my own company. With the support of my friends and colleagues, Sachin, Alvish, and Ravi, I was able to turn that dream into a reality.
I believe that the power of dreaming big is what has propelled me forward on my professional journey. By setting ambitious goals and continually striving to reach them, I have been able to bring my vision to life and succeed in my endeavours.
Q. What was the most challenging part of your journey till now & how did you overcome them?
As a founder, one must embrace the challenge of continuously adapting and finding solutions to new obstacles every day. Developing a well-defined plan and strategy is crucial in overcoming these challenges. Establishing a successful startup requires a great deal of effort and dedication, especially when it comes to finding new clients and building relationships with new brands.
Finding the right team members, mentoring and fostering a collaborative work environment can also be a significant challenge for any CEO. However, with perseverance and determination, these challenges can be overcome.
Balancing work and personal life can also be a challenge, especially for those in leadership positions. Nevertheless, I have been able to achieve success by continuously working hard and striving to take that extra step, that one extra mile. I believe that success starts with one small step, whether it’s securing one client, closing one sale or reaching one milestone.
Q. What lessons have you learned from your professional career?
The most valuable lesson I have learned during my professional journey is the importance of perseverance and constant self-improvement. When I first embarked on my career change, I was filled with excitement and enthusiasm, but as time went on, I found myself losing motivation. I realized that the key to staying motivated is to continually set new challenges for yourself and find joy in the journey towards success.
In order to avoid boredom and stay engaged, it’s crucial to continually strive for growth and make small achievements every day. By focusing on the basics of your niche and setting attainable goals, you can maintain consistency and find satisfaction in your daily work.
The early stages of my professional career were certainly challenging, but I never lost faith in myself. Despite obstacles, I remained positive and focused on my goals, and it is this positive mindset that has allowed me to succeed.
One of the most significant insights I have gained thus far is that no one can guide you to success but yourself. As a leader, it’s important to cultivate a positive attitude not only for your own well-being, but also for the morale of your team. Your team looks to you for guidance and inspiration, and maintaining a positive outlook can help everyone stay motivated and productive.
Q. What do you see as the biggest challenge for brands in the digital space?
Competition is a universal challenge for all brand owners, regardless of whether they operate in the digital or local space. Overcoming competition requires a strategic and well-thought-out marketing plan, leveraging tactics such as SEO, word of mouth, email marketing, and brand recognition to differentiate your brand from the rest.
Small businesses, in particular, face a significant challenge in competing against established market leaders with larger budgets. However, by being creative and resourceful, small businesses can reach customers in innovative ways, thereby levelling the playing field.
Marketing innovation really takes off when resources are few and there is a lot of competition. Small firms may compete and prosper in the marketplace by concentrating on innovative differentiation methods, demonstrating that success is still possible even with little resources.
